US President Donald Trump stated that the Peace Council he proposed for Gaza could replace the UN.
According to Modern.az, “Fox News” reported this.
The US president also told journalists that the UN had not fulfilled its mission.
"I am a big fan of the UN, but it did not live up to expectations. The UN should have resolved all the wars that I resolved", - Trump said.
Experts evaluated Trump's statement as a reconsideration of the existing international order.
US President Donald Trump sent invitations for membership to 60 countries as the founding chairman of the Peace Council. The US administration requested countries to donate at least 1 billion dollars for permanent membership in the International Peace Council for the Gaza Strip.
The Peace Council will primarily raise funds for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Additionally, an executive committee and an executive board are planned to be established here for the Gaza Strip.
