Despite a day passing since Russia's strikes on energy facilities, more than half of Kyiv is still without electricity.
Modern.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this. The head of state noted that this coincides with a time when Ukrainians are battling severe frosts.
As attacks on the energy system, which has been subjected to missile and drone strikes for nearly four years, have intensified, many Kyiv residents live in cold apartments, receiving electricity for only a few hours a day. Sometimes, they are left without electricity altogether.
“According to today's data, approximately 60 percent of the capital is without electricity,” – Zelenskyy wrote on the social network X.
In the morning, the air temperature in the capital was minus 12 degrees Celsius, rising slightly towards noon.
Some residents have complained on social media about being without electricity and heating for more than a day.
Interruptions in electricity supply have seriously affected mobile communication in Ukraine. The CEO of mobile operator “Kyivstar” stated that approximately 10 percent of the network is not operat
