California Governor, Democrat Gavin Newsom called on Europe to take a more decisive stance against US President Donald Trump. He called the US leader “weak” and stated that the European Union should act “extremely tough” against Trump, literally “slapping him”.
Modern.az reports that Euronews disseminated information about this.
“Trump skillfully exploits weaknesses, but retreats when confronted. Trump's attempt to take control of Greenland is “madness,” but he will not do it by military means. Europeans should be bolder, stop trying to please Trump, and “fight fire with fire,” he said.
Newsom added that Europeans themselves should decide what to do:
"But one thing they should not do is what they have done so far. They have been deceived. This man (Trump) makes people look foolish, and this is disgraceful. It is time to take this seriously and refuse to be complicit. It is necessary to stand up and clearly and decisively state one's position”.
