Kyiv and Washington have reached an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine, but the document has not yet been signed.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference held after a one-hour meeting with US President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum (Davos).
“Today, in our conversation with the American delegation and the US President, we stated that the security guarantees document is ready, the document has been finalized, and now it only needs to be signed. However, the document will only come into force after the war is stopped,” Zelenskyy said.
When asked again about the status of the document, he added: “We have completed our work on the document. The document must be signed by the presidents and then sent to the parliaments.”
Zelenskyy also emphasized that the agreement on security guarantees has been finalized, but territorial issues have not yet been resolved, and he called on the Russian side for a compromise.
