Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has moved to a special underground bunker located in Tehran amidst increasing risks of a possible military attack by the United States.
Modern.az reports that this information was disseminated by the publication "Iran International".
The report states that due to the heightened security level, the daily operations of Khamenei's office have been partially reorganized.
According to the publication's claim, the Supreme Leader's son, Masoud Khamenei, has currently taken over the day-to-day management of the Supreme Leader's office and acts as the primary liaison with executive authorities.
It is noted that these steps were taken following assessments by military and security structures regarding the increased risks of a possible attack against Iran by the United States. It is reported that the security regime has been strengthened within Tehran and around strategic facilities, and communication and control mechanisms have been adapted to emergency scenarios.
This information also aligns with other news disseminated in international media in recent days. Specifically, some Israeli and and Western sources claim that the United States has sharply increased its military presence in the Middle East, and that countries in the region have been pre-informed about possible operations. According to reports, the air and naval forces of the US, Israel, and Great Britain are actively coordinating, and in-flight refueling capabilities and naval strike potential have been brought to a high level.
Analysts believe that Khamenei's move to an underground bunker is not merely a personal security measure, but also a political signal indicating that the Iranian leadership assesses possible military escalation scenarios as a real risk. Although official Tehran and Washington have not yet openly confirmed the initiation of an attack, the military-political tension in the region is assessed as approaching its highest level in recent years.
