Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with leaders of the Jewish community in Baku.
Modern.az reports that Israel's Foreign Minister shared photos of the meeting on his social media account.
"Today, approximately 30,000 Jews live in Azerbaijan alongside the country's Muslim population, in an environment of mutual respect, religious tolerance, and freedom of religion. For generations, Azerbaijan has been an example of a country with a Muslim majority that has ensured the well-being and security of the Jewish community," - he noted.
Israel's Foreign Minister once again emphasized the close ties between the two countries. He stated that the Jewish community returning to Israel and Jews living in Azerbaijan constitute a strong foundation for relations between the two countries.
"These ties continue to deepen in many areas, and we intend to strengthen them further," - Saar emphasized.
