False information has been disseminated on behalf of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Modern.az reports that Turkey's Centre for Combating Disinformation has issued an official statement on this matter.
"The claims disseminated in some mass media outlets and social media platforms regarding 'Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signing a decree on providing financial assistance amounting to 10 million US dollars to the families of soldiers who died in Armenia and to the segments of society in need of assistance' are completely unfounded," the statement said.
The public is requested not to trust such disinformation targeting Turkey and Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, and it is particularly important to refer only to statements issued by official institutions.
