As the time for parliamentary elections in Armenia approaches, pressure on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also increasing.
Pro-Russian forces, revanchists unable to accept the defeat in Karabakh, the segment controlled by the Armenian Apostolic Church, as well as some diaspora organizations interested in Nikol Pashinyan's departure from power, have intensified their activities aimed at discrediting the Prime Minister. The opposition-leaning press has also become active in this endeavor.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in information from sources close to the government.

For instance, the opposition-leaning publication "Hraparak" claims that Nikol Pashinyan's rating in society has fallen to its lowest level to date.

Meanwhile, pro-government media reports claims that serious threats to Nikol Pashinyan's life exist. For this reason, it is noted that the Prime Minister's security has been strengthened.

It is no coincidence that on January 27, when the Prime Minister visited the "Yerablur" military pantheon in Yerevan, his security was protected by more guards than usual, which did not escape public attention. Even snipers were deployed around the "Yerablur" cemetery. However, snipers had not been used previously.

The information states that employees of the National Security Service were involved in the security measures taken around the Prime Minister.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held in June of this year.
