The Iranian government is trying to solve problems to ensure national interests.
Modern.az reports, citing the “Tasnim” Agency, that government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated this.
“Iran's true strength lies in national unity and solidarity. Iran is composed of various ethnic groups, and all are recognized. We hear all voices and accept ideas. The government intends to listen without intermediaries, rectify weaknesses, and also restore damaged trust,” said Fatemeh Mohajerani.
According to her, President Masoud Pezeshkian has ordered provincial governors to contact protesters and the families of those who died in recent actions, and to discuss problems with them.
The government spokesperson noted: “The President emphasized yesterday that the government must be more active than before in these days to solve problems. Clearing processes for the import of essential goods and the powers of governors have been facilitated, and all issues must be resolved. We are resolutely continuing on the path to solving problems.”
In response to a question about the government's plan to support businesses affected by the internet shutdown in recent days, Fatemeh Mohajerani said: “The internet was shut down due to the events of January 8 and 9, and the relevant authorities made this decision. The government has a view on internet access, but specific conditions have their own requirements; of course, minimal internet is provided to some members of the Chamber of Commerce to meet their needs. The government has prepared packages to support these businesses.”
In response to a question about the government's support for local messaging and platforms, Mohajerani stated: The government's view is to support local platforms, but these platforms themselves must also make an effort. When services are provided to these platforms, they will become attractive. The government supports these platforms and strives to provide services on every platform.
