Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again criticized the Collective Security Treaty Organization in his speech on Army Day.
Modern.az reports that, according to the Prime Minister, until 2022, international partners refused to sell weapons to Armenia because they were concerned that weapons would be sent "outside Armenia" (to Nagorno-Karabakh) and "fall into the hands of the CSTO". However, this obstacle no longer exists.
Pashinyan stated that there is an action plan within the framework of the joint work of the border demarcation commissions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and all issues will be resolved during the demarcation process.
In the context of the development of the Armed Forces, Pashinyan mentioned a voluntary certification program that allows for an almost twofold increase in military salaries and a reduction in service terms. Pashinyan is confident that this does not mean Yerevan is preparing for war:
"Peace has been established between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and there is no more reliable guarantee of security".
