Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has visited Turkey to hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.

Modern.az reports, citing the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the plane carrying Araqchi has arrived in Istanbul.

The head of Iran's Foreign Ministry will discuss bilateral relations and regional tensions with Turkish officials.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to receive Araqchi.
