Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Modern.az reports that, according to a statement from the Turkish Presidential Administration's Directorate of Communications, the leaders discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Iran, as well as the escalating military tension in the region.
President Erdoğan emphasized Turkey's readiness to play a mediating role in de-escalating tensions and resolving problems between Iran and the United States.
Erdoğan also stated that he would receive the Iranian Foreign Minister, who is currently in Turkey, today.
