The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will conduct an expert examination of the section of the Gazakh-Ijevan railway line passing through Armenia.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova. She said this while commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that Yerevan would implement the project independently if its Russian partners refused to participate in the restoration of railway sections on the Turkish and Azerbaijani borders:
"The issue of railway restoration, including the possible involvement of Russian Railways expertise, is in the initial stage of discussions. Our proposal for joint consultations remains in force".
