US President Donald Trump has announced that a larger military force than that sent during the Venezuela crisis is being directed towards Iran.
According to Modern.az, speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump stated that currently “a large armada, a flotilla” is moving towards Iran, and the scale of these forces is broader than the steps previously taken by the US regarding Venezuela.
According to him, the main goal for Washington is to reach an agreement, but if this does not happen, the development of events could be different.
The President noted that if an agreement is reached between the parties, this will be considered a positive outcome. Otherwise, how the situation will develop will become clear over time.
To journalists' question about whether the US has set a specific timeframe for possible actions against Iran, Trump gave an ambiguous answer. He stated that even if such a time limit exists, only the Iranians would know it.
