The merger of 2 universities was cancelled

"Georgian Dream" government has amended its decision.

Modern.az reports that Tbilisi State University and Georgian Technical University will not be merged. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced this at a briefing held at the government administration.

According to him, after a meeting with the leadership and faculty of the Georgian Technical University, it was decided to maintain the university as a separate educational institution and transform it into a specialized technical university.
