7 Turkish and 1 Azerbaijani citizens have applied to Armenia

In 2025, a total of 600 people applied for asylum in Armenia.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in the data of the Statistical Committee of Armenia.

In 2025, the highest number of applications were made by Iranian citizens (197), followed by Ukrainian citizens (86).

Among the applicants, there are 44 Russian citizens. 34 citizens each from Egypt and Afghanistan, 29 citizens from Syria, and 27 citizens from Iraq applied.

7 Turkish citizens and 8 Georgian citizens also applied for asylum in Armenia.

The Statistical Committee also announced that 1 Azerbaijani citizen applied for asylum in Armenia.
