The United States continues to send new military forces to Iran's borders.
Modern.az reports, citing "The New York Times", that the "USS Gerald Ford" aircraft carrier has been sent to the Iranian coast. This will be the U.S.'s second aircraft carrier off the Iranian coast, alongside the "USS Abraham Lincoln".
Amidst the tensions around Iran, this represents a significant increase in the presence of American naval forces in the region. Approximately 90 military aircraft, including F-35C fighters, a missile cruiser, several destroyers armed with 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles, as well as a nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine have been sent to the region.
It should be recalled that negotiations are being held between Iran and the U.S. through Oman's mediation.
