Poland is preparing a lawsuit demanding reparations from Russia for World War II.
Modern.az reports that Bartosz Gondek, director of the Jan Karski Institute for War Losses Assessment, said in a statement to the Financial Times newspaper.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has instructed the institute to conduct research on Russia for these purposes. According to Gondek, it is "too early" to discuss the amount of reparations demanded from Moscow at present; the assessment of events from World War II and subsequent decades is a "long-term project".
Commenting on Poland's lawsuit, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RBC: "As reparations, we can provide a link to the video of the opera "Ivan Susanin"," she replied.
