A bail of 425 million hryvnias (over 8 million euros) has been demanded for Ukraine's former Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, who is accused of money laundering.
Modern.az reports that this demand was made by Ukraine's Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO).
Ukraine's TSN publication calls the bail set for Halushchenko's release a record.
In early 2026, a bail of 33 million hryvnias (approximately 650,000 euros) was demanded for Ukraine's former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is suspected of bribing several Verkhovna Rada deputies.
