Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has reacted strongly to US President Donald Trump's military threats.
Modern.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Khamenei showed this reaction during a meeting with people from East Azerbaijan province at the Imam Khomeini Hosseiniyeh in Tehran.
Khamenei addressed the Iranian people at that meeting.
In response to US President Donald Trump's military threats, Ayatollah Khamenei said: "The US President constantly describes his army as "the world's most powerful army," but even this power can face unexpected defeats. He boasts about sending ships to Iran. A ship is a dangerous vessel, but more dangerous than a ship is the weapon that can sink it to the bottom of the sea".
Khamenei further added: "In one of his recent speeches, the US President admitted that his country has not been able to destroy the Islamic Republic for 47 years. This is a good admission. What I mean is that you cannot do it either".
