Iran will close a part of the Strait of Hormuz for several hours during military exercises.

Modern.az reports that Iran's “Fars” agency has disseminated information about this.

The agency stated that today, during the "Smart Management of the Strait of Hormuz" naval exercises, some parts of the Strait of Hormuz will be closed for several hours to ensure compliance with safety and navigation rules.

Iran commenced the "Smart Management of the Strait of Hormuz" naval exercises on February 16 amidst rising tensions in the Middle East and an increased US military presence in the region.
