500 musical instruments were burned in a bonfire by employees of Afghanistan's Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue.
Modern.az reports that, Maqbool Ahmad Waqas, the head of the department of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Complaints, stated this in a statement to local media.
"These items, used for dancing and celebrating various ceremonies, have been collected over the past year both in Charikar, the provincial capital, and in the districts. The musical instruments were burned in Qolqandi district with the participation of government officials, the General Directorate of Intelligence, and other relevant agencies," he said
