Germany's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has called on its citizens to leave Iran amidst the risk of possible military escalation.
According to Modern.az, a representative of the Ministry stated that currently, commercial flights, albeit limited in number, are operating, and air connections to countries neighboring Iran are available, and there is also an option for departure by land.
Official Berlin emphasized that should the situation escalate, the provision of consular assistance could become virtually impossible.
Previously, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that the US is considering a limited strike option against military and government facilities with the aim of persuading Iran to agree to a nuclear deal on terms more favorable to Washington. According to the information, the possible operation could be carried out in the coming days.
At the same time, CBS television claimed that the operation could begin on February 21. The US side, however, has not yet announced an official decision on the matter.
