If the US attacks Iran, jihad will be declared.

Modern.az reports that this was stated by Iraq's religious leader of the Shiites, Ayatollah Ali Sistani.

The 95-year-old cleric said this while addressing his followers during a religious ceremony. 

Ali Sistani was born in 1930 in Mashhad, Iran.
