Following tensions with Iran, the US has increased its military presence along the line extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the Gulf of Oman.
Modern.az reports that, according to sources monitoring and analyzing intelligence data, the total number of US warships deployed in the region has reached 23.
According to the information, the US operates 10 warships in the Mediterranean Sea, 1 in the Gulf of Aden, 10 in the Arabian Sea, and 2 in the Persian Gulf. This is assessed as a step by Washington aimed at strengthening both its deterrence and rapid intervention capabilities in the region.
