Over the next few years, the Georgian government will significantly reduce the number of available places for admission to state universities.
Modern.az reports that Prime Minister İrakli Kobaxidze made a statement regarding this.
According to him, "market research" has shown that the optimal number of places for new students should be 14,400 per year.
"We have decided to gradually move towards optimal indicators... We must gradually ensure full compliance between labor market demands and student admission rates", - Kobaxidze stated.
