The Greek Coast Guard has detained an Azerbaijani citizen suspected of illegally transporting migrants in the Aegean Sea.

Modern.az reports that, according to Greek media, the 39-year-old Azerbaijani citizen brought a total of 31 people, including 15 men, 4 women, and 12 children, by boat from Turkey to Lesbos island. It is reported that there were also citizens of third countries among these individuals. While returning after disembarking the migrants on the island, he was detained by Coast Guard forces.
