US Vice President J.D. Vance said that Washington is trying to bring negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to a stage where the parties agree to a compromise, believing they have achieved sufficient results to stop the conflict.
Modern.az reports that Vance emphasized in an interview with "Fox News" television channel that the US administration is not under the illusion that the parties will easily reach an agreement.
According to him, the goal is to ensure that both Russians and Ukrainians feel they have achieved sufficient results to stop the bloodshed.
The Vice President added that this task was set by US President Donald Trump.
