Modern.az reports that these words were stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The Secretary of State noted that Iran possesses a large arsenal of short-range missiles that could threaten US bases in the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain, as well as US partners in the region.
Marco Rubio also emphasized that Iran's naval forces pose a threat to international shipping and the US Navy.
It should be recalled that previously, the publication "Politico" wrote that those close to US President Donald Trump believed Israel should launch the first attack on Iran. It was noted that the White House believes this could increase support for possible subsequent US actions.
It should be noted that despite the continuation of nuclear talks, hopes for a diplomatic solution are diminishing. Washington is also assessing potential risks, including casualties and ammunition shortages.
