The Yerevan court has decided to extend the house arrest pre-trial detention measure chosen for Artur Sargsyan, a supporter of the “Holy Struggle” movement and a deputy of the parliament's “Armenia” faction, by another 3 months.

Modern.az reports that Armenian media disseminated information about this.

It should be recalled that on August 7, the Investigative Committee of Armenia announced that the criminal case involving 18 members of the movement had been sent to court. These individuals have been charged with preparing a terrorist act and attempting to seize power. The leader of the movement, Bagrat Galstanyan, and his supporters were detained at the end of June.

Artur Sargsyan was arrested on July 9, 2025, and on December 1 of the same year, a house arrest decision was issued against him. Subsequently, this pre-trial detention measure was extended until March 8, 2026.
