Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan offered condolences regarding the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as a result of an attack.
Modern.az reports that Erdoğan made a post on his social media account.
The post stated:
"May Allah have mercy on Mr. Khamenei, I extend my deepest condolences to the brotherly Iranian people on behalf of my country and nation."
The Turkish leader also touched upon the events in the region, emphasizing the importance of the Iranian people and all friendly and brotherly nations regaining peace and stability. He stated that Turkey will resolutely continue its efforts for the cessation of the conflict environment and a return to diplomacy.
