Khamenei was 86 years old.
In the attack on Iran, four members of Khamenei's family - his daughter, son-in-law, grandchild, and one of his daughters-in-law - were also killed.
According to Iranian media, Khamenei's killed grandchild was only 14 months old. The country's media has published his/her photos.
The photo of 14-month-old Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani has also been shared on social media platforms.
She was reported to be Khamenei's granddaughter.
Previously, it was noted that the number of fatalities in the attack on a girls' school in the city of Minab, southern Iran, had reached 165.
