Explosion sounds are also heard in Middle Eastern countries after the US and Israel began attacking Iran on Saturday.
In response to the attack, Tehran launched missile and drone strikes against Israel and US military bases in Middle Eastern countries.
Iranian officials had previously warned that if attacked, they would target US military facilities in the region.

The Israeli Air Force announced that, as part of a joint attack with the US, it had dropped more than 1200 munitions on 24 of Iran's 31 provinces in the last day.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had organized attacks on 27 bases in the Middle East where US troops are stationed, as well as military facilities in Tel Aviv and other regions of Israel.
Iran has so far carried out attacks on nine countries in the region - Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Cyprus. Most of these attacks have been intercepted.
The US has been stationing military bases in the Middle East for decades. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, the US operates a vast network of both permanent and temporary military facilities in at least 19 locations in the region.
Eight of these are permanent bases in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
According to data for mid-2025, there are approximately 50,000 US troops in the Middle East, stationed in both large, permanent bases and smaller forward operating locations.
The countries with the most US troops are Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. These bases serve as vital centers for US air and naval operations, regional logistics, intelligence gathering, and force projection.
In Israel, the number of dead has risen to 9, and the injured to 121:
According to Al Jazeera television, 8 people were killed and approximately 20 injured in a ballistic missile attack by Iran on Beit Shemesh in central Israel on Sunday afternoon. It was also confirmed that a woman died from falling shrapnel in the Tel Aviv area on Saturday evening. At least 121 people are reported injured, one of whom is in serious condition.
Israel's "Haaretz" newspaper reported that at least 40 buildings were damaged as a result of Iran's attacks in Tel Aviv on Saturday.
Among US soldiers, there are 3 dead, 5 injured.
On Sunday evening, US Central Command announced that three US soldiers were killed in action and five were seriously injured as a result of Iran's attacks.
The US Central Command statement reads:
"Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions and are in the process of returning to duty. Major combat operations continue."
In Bahrain, 4 injured, no deaths:
Iranian missiles targeted the headquarters of the US Navy's 5th Fleet in the Juffair area of Bahrain.
Bahrain's Ministry of Interior also confirmed that the country's international airport was targeted by a drone, causing "material damage without human casualties." On Saturday night, several residential buildings in the capital Manama were hit by Iranian drones. State hospitals admitted four people with shrapnel wounds.

In Iraq, 2 people killed, 5 injured:
The US and Israel also targeted the Jurf al-Nasr base in southern Iraq, where the Popular Mobilization Forces, mainly composed of Shia fighters, and the Iranian-backed Iraqi paramilitary group Kataib Hezbollah are located.
Iraqi state media and "Kataib Hezbollah" sources confirmed that two fighters were killed and five were injured in the attacks.
Several powerful explosions were reported near the US consulate and international airport in Erbil, in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region of Northern Iraq, where US troops are still reportedly present.
According to reports, air defense forces intercepted drone attacks on Saturday.
Although Jordan was attacked, there are no killed or injured.
Jordanian armed forces announced that they intercepted 49 drones and ballistic missiles that entered Jordanian airspace. While their shrapnel caused localized material damage, no deaths or injuries occurred within the kingdom.
In Kuwait, the number of dead has reached 1, and the injured 32:
Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced that a number of ballistic missiles were fired at Ali al-Salem air base, and all of them were neutralized by Kuwaiti air defense systems.
On Saturday, a drone targeting Kuwait International Airport caused minor injuries to several staff members and limited damage to the passenger terminal. On Sunday, Kuwait's Ministry of Health reported one person killed and 32 injured.
In Oman, there are no deaths, but the number of injured is 5:
On Sunday morning, the Oman News Agency, citing a security source, reported that two drones targeted the port of Duqm, resulting in one foreign worker being injured.
Later, Oman's Maritime Security Centre reported that an oil tanker sailing under the Palau flag was attacked approximately 9 km off Oman's Musandam Governorate, resulting in four people being injured.
In Qatar, 16 injured:
Qatar's Ministry of Interior confirmed that the number of injured was 16. Most of the injuries were reported to be from shrapnel and debris, with one person seriously injured. Qatar's Ministry of Defense confirmed that the Al Udeid military base, where US forces are stationed, was hit by two ballistic missiles, and a drone targeted an early warning radar facility.
Qatar's air defense systems, in coordination with regional partners, successfully intercepted approximately 65 missiles and 12 drones over Qatari airspace.
Qatar's Civil Aviation Authority has suspended all air navigation indefinitely. Qatar Airways has canceled all flights and informed passengers that updates will be provided by Monday at 9:00 AM (06:00 GMT).
All schools have switched to distance learning, and public gatherings related to the month of Ramadan have been suspended until further notice to ensure public safety.
In Saudi Arabia, no dead or injured:
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Iran's attacks targeted both the capital Riyadh and the Eastern Province, which hosts major oil infrastructure and King Abdulaziz Air Base. The Kingdom officially reported no casualties on Sunday afternoon.
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 3 dead, 58 injured:
On Sunday afternoon, it was confirmed that at least three people were killed and 58 injured in the UAE. In Abu Dhabi, a Pakistani national was killed and seven people were injured as a result of missile and drone debris falling on a residential area near Zayed International Airport.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that another person, identified as an Asian national, died from falling shrapnel in a residential neighborhood of the capital.
Additionally, four airport staff were injured at Dubai International Airport, and four people were injured in Palm Jumeirah due to a fire caused by flying debris in a building.
On Sunday afternoon, the UAE Ministry of Defense reported detecting 165 ballistic missiles, destroying 152 of them, and intercepting two cruise missiles.
In Cyprus, no dead or injured:
It was reported that Iran fired two missiles at the Greek side of Cyprus, where British military bases are located.
British Defense Minister John Healey stated that Iran fired two missiles at the Greek Cypriot Administration, where British military bases are located, but assured that the missiles did not target British bases.
