Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was announced to have been killed on the morning of February 28.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that this was made possible by the use of important intelligence information obtained by the US and Israel just a few hours before the incident.
Intelligence agencies waited for several months for the moment when high-ranking Iranian officials might gather for a meeting. It was determined that Khamenei would be in a building complex located in central Tehran on Saturday morning.
For several months, the US and Israel tracked the movements of Iran's Supreme Leader.
The exact methods used for this are kept confidential. However, US President Donald Trump indirectly alluded to this in one of his social media posts.
“He was unable to evade our intelligence and high-tech surveillance systems,” - Trump stated.
It is assumed that the Leader's location was determined through the surveillance of other state officials. As a result of long-term surveillance, a behavioral model of Khamenei and his entourage was drawn. At the same time, weak points in the maneuvers of the Iranian elite were discovered. The US and Israel's achievement of this goal was made possible by both high technologies and the weak protection of Iranian state representatives.
