The goal of US attacks on Iran is not to achieve regime change.
Modern.az reports that US Secretary of Defense Pit Heqset stated this.
"The war is not being waged for regime change. But the regime changed, and the world is in a better situation because of it," he noted.
The Secretary of Defense also claimed that the US did not start the war:
Heqset added: "Iran has been carrying out attacks in a unilateral war against America for decades. We did not start this war, but under President Trump's leadership, we are ending this war," he said.
