US President Donald Trump stated that large-scale military operations related to Iran are continuing.
Modern.az reports that he offered condolences to the families of the servicemen who died during the battles.
“Today we mourn four heroic American servicemen who died in battle, and we extend our love and support to their families. We are resolutely continuing this mission to destroy this terrorist regime that poses a threat to the American people,” he emphasized.
Trump stated that the US objectives are clear: “First, we are destroying Iran's missile capabilities, and you see this every hour, and we are also eliminating their ability to produce new and quite good missiles. Second, we are destroying their navy. We have already disabled 10 ships. Third, we will never allow the country that is the number one sponsor of terror in the world to acquire nuclear weapons. And finally, we are preventing the Iranian regime from arming, financing, and managing terrorist armies beyond its borders.”
The US president added that a nuclear-armed Iran is unacceptable to Washington: “This was our last and best chance to strike.”
Trump noted that the US is continuing large-scale combat operations in Iran: "We had initially predicted four to five weeks, but we have the capability to go on for longer. We will do it."
