To date, 6 US servicemen have died in military operations against Iran.
Modern.az reports, citing CNN, that all of them died as a result of a direct Iranian strike on the temporary operations center of a civilian port in Kuwait on the morning of February 29. The number of fatalities reached 6 yesterday afternoon with the discovery of the bodies of 2 more servicemen who were considered missing.
The US Central Command stated that the strike that caused the deaths of the servicemen hit a "fortified tactical operations center," but that "a single" projectile penetrated the air defense systems. The strike is presumed to have been carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle.
The attack was carried out suddenly, without warning or siren sounds. During the attack, the operations center was destroyed, and 18 people sustained serious injuries.
It is not ruled out that the number of fatalities during the attack may increase.
