Farah Pahlavi, the widow of Iran's last Shah, has made a statement regarding the recent processes in the country.
Modern.az reports that the AFP agency has disseminated her views.
Pahlavi stated that the neutralization of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is an event “of historical significance.” However, she emphasized that this step does not automatically mean the collapse of the existing political system.
Farah Pahlavi, who has been living in France since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, noted that the removal of the main figure of power does not mean the immediate collapse of the system. According to her, the main issue is for the Iranian people to unite around a peaceful transition to a state model based on the rule of law.
She also added that her son Reza Pahlavi is preparing for this stage.
