France is sending air defense systems and a frigate to Cyprus, and is also redeploying the aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle” and its strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean.
Modern.az reports that French President Emmanuel Macron made a statement regarding this. According to him, the decision was made amidst the tension that arose after Iran's drone strikes in the region.
Macron stated that the deployment of additional military forces serves to strengthen regional security. The French side emphasized that it is closely monitoring the situation and acting in coordination with its allies.
