Iran's Armed Forces announced that they respect Turkey's sovereignty and that no missiles were fired into Turkish territory.

It was stated that military activity in the region does not target Turkey, and no missiles aimed at Turkish territory have been launched by Iran.
Furthermore, Turkey's Ministry of National Defense (MSB) had announced that a ballistic munition, determined to have been launched from Iranian territory and directed towards Turkish airspace, was neutralized.
According to the Ministry's information, the missile was directed towards Turkey after passing through Iraqi and Syrian airspace. The munition was timely detected and destroyed in the air by NATO's air and missile defense systems deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It was reported that after the missile was destroyed in the air, an investigation was conducted into the debris that fell in the Dörtyol district of Hatay province. As a result, it was determined that these fragments belonged not to the missile itself, but to the air defense missile that neutralized it. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the incident.
The Ministry emphasized that Turkey supports regional stability and security, stating that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of the country and its citizens.
“Regardless of who or where it comes from, we are capable of protecting the security of our country and our citizens. All steps related to the defense of our airspace will be taken decisively. Our right to respond to any hostile stance against our country is reserved,” the statement noted.
In addition, all parties were called upon to refrain from actions that could lead to an escalation of the conflict. It was stated that Turkey's consultations with NATO and and other allies are ongoing.
