In the US, a new bill titled “Save America” has sparked public and political debate. The document envisages a series of strict changes related to both the electoral system and gender policy.
Modern.az reports that US President Donald Trump shared a post about the project on the "Truth social" platform.
According to the bill, all voters must present a valid identification document during voting. Furthermore, proof of citizenship is required to exercise the right to vote. The project also includes a significant restriction on mail-in voting. Mail-in voting will only be permitted in cases such as illness, disability, military service, or being outside the country.
The document also envisages changes related to the field of sports. The participation of men in women's sports is prohibited. This provision draws particular attention amidst increasing discussions about gender identity in recent years.
One of the most debated issues in the bill concerns minors. According to the project, gender reassignment surgeries for children are prohibited without the explicit written consent of their parents.
