Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama strongly condemned the attack carried out against civilian infrastructure in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan region.

Modern.az reports that the head of government wrote about this on his "X" account.

He stated that the attack on Azerbaijani territory, targeting civilian infrastructure and resulting in injuries to people, is another severe and unacceptable act of aggression by Iran against neighboring countries.

Edi Rama noted that Azerbaijan is a valuable friend and ally for Albania. According to him, after regaining its independence, Azerbaijan has gained great respect in the international arena through its development, prosperity, and policy of open cooperation.

The Albanian Prime Minister emphasized that the people of Azerbaijan, as well as the peoples of other countries unjustly targeted in recent days, deserve only respect, security, and a life free from threats.

Rama also stated that the Tehran regime's attempts to intimidate the civilian population and destabilize the region must be strongly condemned and should lead to the further international isolation of this regime.

According to the Prime Minister, when civilian infrastructure in other countries is targeted and sovereign borders are violated, the line between aggression and terrorism disappears.

He added that states believing in stability, international law, and peaceful coexistence must openly distance themselves from such a violence-exporting regime and classify it as a terrorist state.

Edi Rama emphasized Albania's solidarity with Azerbaijan's strong leadership and proud people.

“The path is clear: aggression must be isolated, and aggressors must be strongly condemned. Those who choose the path of violence will have to answer to the growing unity of peace advocates,” he noted.
