Beirut is not fulfilling its commitment to disarm the group supported by Iran. This commitment is stipulated in the ceasefire agreement.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Israel's Minister of Defense, Israel Katz during his address to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at a time when military operations against “Hezbollah” are intensifying.
“You have committed to implementing the agreement and disarming ‘Hezbollah,’ but this is not happening. Take action and implement measures, otherwise we will have to take harsher steps. We will not allow attacks on our settlements and soldiers,” the defense minister stated.
According to him, if a possible confrontation occurs, the Lebanese government and Lebanon as a whole will pay a heavy price for it.
The minister added that Israel has no territorial claims against Lebanon.
