An informal meeting of the TDT Council of Foreign Ministers will be held in Istanbul.
Modern.az reports, citing "Anadolu Agency", that in addition to Turkey and Azerbaijan, member states Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan will also be represented at the event. At the meeting, recent developments within the organization and future steps to be taken will be evaluated, and extensive consultations will be held on current global and regional issues.
Within the framework of the meeting, Fidan is planned to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, and the heads of guest delegations are expected to be collectively received by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In his speech at the meeting, Foreign Minister Fidan is expected to emphasize the importance of TDT countries expanding their cooperation with a sense of regional responsibility during a period when ensuring peace, stability, and justice in the region and the international system is challenging. Furthermore, the importance of the Turkic world's common stance on immediately halting the ongoing conflicts between the US and Israel with Iran, stopping attacks targeting third countries, and creating conditions for diplomacy will be highlighted.
Fidan is expected to state the importance of promoting dialogue channels and peaceful solutions to prevent further escalation of tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, emphasize the necessity of ending the unjust and inhumane isolation measures applied against the Turkish Cypriot population and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), note that it is beneficial for all TDT members to develop political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations with the KKTC, as well as share Turkey's position and priorities regarding the "TDT+" format established to increase cooperation among Turkic states with third parties within the organization.
