The number of fatalities has reached 41 as a result of the operation carried out by the Israeli army in the village of Nabi Chit and surrounding areas in eastern Lebanon.
Modern.az reports that the country's Ministry of Health provided information on this matter.
According to the statement, 40 more people were injured. Previous reports recorded 29 deaths.
It should be noted that Al-Hadath TV channel had previously reported that Israeli commandos landed in the mountainous area near Nabi Chit from four helicopters with the aim of finding and recovering navigator Ron Arad, who was captured in 1986. The soldiers set off towards the Al-Shokr family cemetery, where the remains of the Israeli pilot were buried, but were ambushed by "Hezbollah" fighters and local residents. To ensure the group's withdrawal from the combat zone, planes and helicopters launched dozens of strikes on Nabi Chit.
