Iran's Assembly of Experts has elected a new supreme leader; the decision will be announced later.
Modern.az, referring to the "Mehr" agency, reports that Ahmad Alamolhoda, a member of the council from Khorasan-Razavi province, provided information on this matter.
"The election was held, and the leader was determined", he stated.
He noted that, according to the country's constitution, no member of the Assembly of Experts has the right to change their mind.
According to Alamolhoda, now everything will depend on the council's secretary, Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, who must announce the institution's decision to the public.
