Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei on the occasion of his election as Supreme Leader by the decision of the Assembly of Experts.
The Modern.az website, citing Mehr News Agency, reports that M. Pezeshkian issued a statement regarding this.
He stated that these elections herald the beginning of an era of honor, strength, and progress for the Iranian people.
Pezeshkian noted that the decision of the Assembly of Experts is an important step that strengthens the continuity of the Islamic Republic's governance structure and the country's stability.
The President also emphasized that strengthening national unity and solidarity will play a decisive role in overcoming the challenges faced by Iran. In his opinion, Iran, as in the past, will also overcome today's challenges thanks to the resilience, sound judgment, and solidarity of its people.
In his message, Pezeshkian wished Mojtaba Khamenei success in his disciplinary duties and stated that they would continue to work together for the country's independence, progress, and prosperity.
