Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will address the European Parliament on Wednesday.
Modern.az reports that this was stated on the European Parliament's website.
“This will be Nikol Pashinyan's first address ahead of the parliamentary elections to be held in Armenia on June 7, 2026. It is expected that these elections will determine the future direction of the country's rapidly changing relations with the European Union and the fate of the peace process with neighboring Azerbaijan,” the website noted.
It was added that the Armenian government is committed to achieving lasting peace with Azerbaijan, normalizing relations with Turkey, rapprochement with the West, and possible future membership in the European Union.
It is noted that the European Union is currently conducting a dialogue with Armenia on visa regime liberalization, and an EU-Armenia summit is planned for May 5.
This will be Pashinyan's second address to the European Parliament since his previous visit in 2023.
