I am not sure if fighting until the regime is overthrown is in our interests.
Modern.az reports that an unnamed Israeli official told the “Washington Post” newspaper:
"No one wants this to continue indefinitely. Iran will surrender, but it may show its readiness to accept a ceasefire on U.S. terms.”
The Israeli official noted that the Israel-U.S. bombing campaign is close to achieving military objectives such as destroying the remnants of Iran's nuclear program, missile stockpiles, weapons production facilities, and a large part of its military-intelligence leadership.
The official did not specify how long the operation would last.
