Newly elected Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has been admitted to Sina Hospital in Tehran and connected to a ventilator.
Modern.az reports that this was shared by Iran's former state television presenter Hassan Karami.
According to him, during the airstrikes on February 28 in which his father, Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was killed, he also sustained serious injuries and is still receiving treatment.
Mojtaba Khamenei is unaware of the start of the war and the death of his family members in the bombing. The journalist, who states that the Supreme Leader is in a coma, also claims that Mojtaba Khamenei does not yet know that he has been appointed leader.
It should be recalled that during the airstrike on the center of Tehran on February 28, Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several other high-ranking officials were killed.
